While drifting is still my ultimate goal when it comes to driving, I'm almost as happy with just trying to improve my lap times with every new outing. It's always nice to see pro drivers doing their thing. You can study their pedal and steering wheel inputs. Seat time is crucial if you want to improve, but additional outside input is welcome.
 
I recently discovered a new series of track tests, going on at Serres Racing Circuit in Greece. It's a track close to my heart, as I've been attending events there since 2011. The last time out, we saw a comparison between a Porsche 911 GT3, a BMW M2, and a Honda Civic Type R. It's not hard to guess that the GT3 reigned supreme, clocking in at 1:21.7 over the 1.980 miles (3.186 km) layout. It was almost five seconds faster than the hot hatch, but what would you expect from a challenge like this one?
