Mopar Insiders claim the familiar 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and 5.7-liter HEMI V8 will be discontinued in favor of a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Stellantis reportedly wants to streamline the Grand Cherokee's engine options while improving efficiency and reducing emissions.
 
The Grand Cherokee L will be offered exclusively with the four-pot motor, while the standard body style will continue to offer the 4xe plug-in hybrid variant.
