Jaguar fabulous R-D6 is just a concept right?

We investigate

R-D6 concept

Well, err, maybe not. Jaguar has allowed unprecedented access to this machine to a number of car magazines in an attempt to guage their opinion of what some insiders say is a hideous machine. But judging by it't appearence in the City of London recently, it stopped the traffic with young schoolboys ignoring passing Ferrari's and drooling over the cat. Even older owners were bewitched by the car - and it's the fear of alienating them that could stop progress.

As this cars face will form that of the new S-Type in 2006 when the model (as apposed to the 2004 face-lift) is released, Jaguar men are seriously investigating the possibility of the R-D6 being a rival model to the Mercedes CLS and BMW 6. Although the new S-Type will of course be a longer, more elegant version of the R-D6, but it's a cheap way to make an expensive spin-off model. It's clever lighting, hinged boot lid and unique interior are all production ready, bourn out by the fact that a number of D6 ideas have already made it into the forthcomming S and XK models.

If you like it, tell your friends because, despite the acclaim lavished upon the car from eveyone who has smelled, touched, gaized on and driven the this (2.7-litre diesel) concept car have been captivated by it.
