Fisker came back from the dead with the promise that the Karma disaster wouldn't happen again. The company, which again had a hopeful automotive designer at its helm, seemed to be on the right track for a while. The Ocean, although marred by software troubles, impressed many. However, it was the rumor about a partnership with Foxconn (later Nissan), and the PEAR, the Ronin, and the Alaska supposed prototypes that made people believe the company would eventually have a bright future.
 
Sadly, the EVs that should have joined the Ocean and helped Fisker reach profitability remained concepts. The reborn manufacturer who benefitted from Magna Steyr's help to build the Ocean had no real solution for the PEAR, Ronin, and Alaska market launches. It was all a dream, as Biggie would have probably put it.
