The Ford Mustang GTD will try to do what no American car has done before. If Ford pulls this off, it would be a record-breaking success for the most powerful street-legal Mustang ever made.

The Ford Mustang GTD is an insane road-going track-born machinery. It is powered by a 5.2-liter supercharged Predator V8 with the first-ever dry sump oil system in the lineup and a Drag Reduction System, which turn it from a normal car to a real fighter jet.

The V8 pumps out 815 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque, pushing the GTD to a top speed of 202 mph. Ford has never disclosed how long it takes the GTD to go from zero to hero (0 to 60 mph or 0 to 97 kph), and we won't make any guesses. We will just wait to see what it can do around the 12.944-mile (20.832 kilometers) Nurburgring Nordschleife track.
