The Polestar 2 is ready for the 2026 model year featuring new tech upgrades that include a better processor chip and a flagship sound system from Bowers & Wilkins. The 2026 Polestar 2 is already available to order in Europe, with additional markets to follow later this year.
In terms of its CPU, the Swedish EV now comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip, which means faster download speeds for in-car apps, faster reaction times within those apps, improved infotainment screen responsiveness, plus smoother performance overall from the infotainment system. These are exactly the types of upgrades worth making in today’s automotive industry.
Meanwhile, the Bowers & Wilkins sound system boasts 14 speakers with a total output of 1,350 watts. Among the key features we count the Tweeter-on-Top technology (improved clarity and accuracy), but also the Continuum midrange speakers which are said to minimize distortion. The sound system also looks good from a visual standpoint, with branded details on the front door panels and stainless-steel mesh on the rear door panels.
