Kia is on a roll. For two straight years, the brand has recorded its best ever sales. It's not showing any signs of slowing down, either. It just released its results for the quarter, and, once again, they're the best in Kia's history. Naturally, SUVs such as the Sorento are a big part of the success, but they're far from the only contributors. Kia's sedans, and even its minivan, are doing better than you'd expect.

So far this quarter, Kia has sold 198,850 cars. That's an increase of 19,229 over last year, or about 10.7%. The Kia Sportage remains the brand's best seller with 41,301 units, but not far behind is the Kia K4. Kia's small sedan sold 37,004 units so far this quarter, which was an increase over its equally impressive 33,623 units this time last year, which included the K4's Forte predecessor. As it turns out, the Forte and K4 have been Kia's second-best sellers for the last two years. So at least for Kia, sedans still seriously matter. With that said, the third- and fourth-place models in sales are still SUVs: the Telluride and Sorento respectively.
