The Mercedes-Benz CLA entered the market in March, and the German carmaker is busy fine-tuning the Shooting Brake model for the prime time. A prototype was caught testing on the Nurburgring with no camo at the front, showing that Mercedes has nothing to hide besides the liftgate design.
Mercedes-Benz promised a radical reset with the launch of the 2026 CLA in both EV and combustion variants. Indeed, the Tesla Model 3 rival features one of the most advanced EV platforms in the industry, and the hybrid variants look just as promising. The design is evolutionary, but this doesn't mean the 2026 model has anything in common with its predecessor other than the three-pointed star on the grille.
With sedans out of favor, Mercedes-Benz is busy grooming the Shooting Brake variant for the prime time. We've already seen prototypes tested on public roads since before the sedan was unveiled. Back then, the German carmaker was still hiding the front design under light camouflage tape. However, with the station wagon being identical from the B-pillar forward to the sedan, it's understandable why Mercedes-Benz abandoned the front camo.
