The “Model T moment” that Ford Motor Co. CEO Jim Farley has promised will involve a line of affordable electric vehicles assembled in Kentucky with batteries from a new plant in Michigan, according to two sources with knowledge of the plan.
 
The EV line, to be announced by Farley on Aug. 11, will include a midsize pickup expected to launch at Louisville Assembly Plant in 2027, the sources told Automotive News sibling publication Crain’s Detroit Business.
