It won't be long before Toyota unveils the 2026 GR Corolla for North America, yet in the meantime, it has just introduced it in its homeland of Japan. There, it has become cleverer and sports a few extras over its predecessor while retaining the same prices across the range (manual and automatic).
 
One important novelty is the addition of a cool air duct. Located below the air cleaner, this new feature can maintain a stable high engine output even when the temperature rises as a result of right pedal abuse. The secondary air duct breathes air from behind the front grille and allows the hot hatch's powertrain to "fully unleash its inherent potential," in the company's own words.
