For people who live in North and South America, but also on some of the surrounding islands, the ocelot is something that pops up in conversations just as often as bears do in Eastern Europe. The mid-sized wild cat is an apex predator in the places it lives, but, above all, a master of disguise, thanks to its golden-brown coat dotted with black rosettes that make it almost untraceable in the Amazon rainforest.
 
Impressive and enigmatic as it may be, the ocelot was never recognized by the automotive industry, for the simple reason that there's no connection whatsoever one can make between the animal and vehicles on four wheels. Until now, that is, as German carmaker Porsche just introduced the 911 GT3 Touring Ocelot.
