Today's recall alert concerns several BMW models -- and one Toyota that shares a lot of its bones with a BMW.
BMW of North America is recalling 87,394 vehicles across several model lines, including the 2021–2023 Toyota Supra, 2 Series Coupe, 3 Series, 4 Series, 5 Series xDrive, X3, X4, and Z4. The recall stems from a potential issue with the engine starter, where wear on an internal component can cause it to overheat and potentially catch fire.
