The good folks over at corvetteblogger.com don't let the mighty C8 Chevrolet Corvette mid-engine sports car and supercar series rest even one bit. So, they’re already embarking on the hype boat of the ultimate Zora release.
Let’s go back to 2019 for a second. Back then, General Motors did the unthinkable and let Chevrolet and Team Corvette reinvent “America’s sports car” as a European-style mid-engine V8 sports car with the C8 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray release. Back then, the rumor mill was already talking about the eventual introduction of a brand-new Zora model as the top model of the family, bringing honor to Zora Arkus-Duntov, dubbed the "godfather of the Corvette."
General Motors didn’t mind the rumors and reports, but also didn’t confirm them even once. Instead, they went about their business and brought to market the 670-hp FPC world-record Z06, then the 655-hp first-ever performance hybrid (E-Ray), plus the ultimate supercars, the ZR1 and ZR1X with a twin-turbo V8 and 1,064 horsepower or 1,250 electrified hp, respectively.
