Not that long ago, Porsche believed that battery-electric vehicles would make up around 80 percent of its total sales by 2030. A plethora of issues prompted the Zuffenhausen-based automaker to refocus on internal combustion and electrified vehicles.
From customer preferences to development costs, regional differences, and the revised 2035 sales ban on internal combustion vehicles in Europe, nothing went Porsche's way. Given the aforementioned, it should come as no surprise that July 2024 saw the German manufacturer confirm internal combustion and electrified options for the Cayenne beyond 2030.
