It seems that using A-list Hollywood directors is the latest trend in automotive commercials. BMW did it online (www.bmwfilms.com) with two seasons of short films, featuring the talents of John Frankenheimer, Ang Lee, Wong Kar-Wai, Guy Ritchie, Alejandro González Iñárritu, John Woo, Joe Carnahan, and Tony Scott.
The coolest car commercial today belongs to Chevrolet. By now we've probably all seen the new "Car Carrier" commercial, but it should be noted that it is by famed director Michael Bay (Armageddon, The Rock, Bad Boys, Pearl Harbor). A two minute version of the commerical is available for viewing/download at: Chevy Corvette and new product commercial.
