We’re not sure how many of you are familiar with the oddly shaped, two seater ad Tramontana supercar that the company presented the original concept car at the Geneva Motor Show in 2005. To us, its a beautiful futuristic looking supercar that was designed by engineers that perviously worked for Volkswagen, BMW and Lamborghini. Now that’s one hell of a team.
The story of the Tramontana began ten years ago, in 1996, when a British car collector mentioned to Josep Rubau, founder of Tramontana, that it was unfortunate that cars were no longer manufactured as they had been in the past.
Either way, Tramontana is ready to show off its production ready supercar at the 77th Geneva Motor Show, where it will show off its newly developed carbon fiber monocoque, new suspension system and also new aerodynamic modifications.
So enough with that. What’s under the hood you ask? This is where the ad Tramontana shines and is different from other cars in its class. The car carries a V12 bi-turbo engine that gives drivers the option to select between 550 to 720 horsepower, by a selector in the dashboard.
What’s the cost and when will it be available? Well the company doesn’t say anything about the price but does say that “The cost of the car will vary according to the personalized details of each individual car. It could possibly become one of the most expensive vehicles on the market, but it will depend on the buyer’s choices.” The car will be available for purchase in the Summer of 2007.
