Toyota is reported to have halted the development project for the next-generation electric vehicle of the Lexus brand. The move is interpreted as Toyota adjusting its strategy amid a slower-than-expected growth in the global electric vehicle market.
 
According to reports from Japan's Nihon Keizai Shimbun and other foreign media, Toyota has effectively halted development of the Lexus next-generation electric sedan 'LF-ZC' Yangsan project. The vehicle was being prepared with the goal of launching around 2027.
