A recent report cites BMW M GmbH chief executive officer Frank Van Meel saying that their upcoming all-new BMW M3 "won’t be hybrid, as we’re sticking with the perfect combustion principle." Of course, there will be a Neue Klasse M3 EV, too, but nothing in between.
The Bavarians are moving slowly but steadily: they showed off the second-generation BMW iX3 Neue Klasse late last year, the second-gen i3 sedan Neue Klasse during the spring, the M Concept Neue Klasse just recently, and they are also diligently preparing for the summer introduction of the all-new sixth iteration of the ubiquitous BMW X5 crossover SUV.
