Two weeks after Natural Resources Canada published the fuel consumption figures of the 2027 model year Corvette Stingray and Corvette Grand Sport, the Environmental Protection Agency has finally released its own. Equipped with a larger engine, said 'Vettes net 18 miles to the gallon (13.0 liters per 100 kilometers) in the combined test cycle.
That's one mile per gallon worse than before, and it's hardly a surprise when you remember that GM's all-new small block displaces 6.7 liters compared to 6.2 for the outgoing LT2 engine. Speaking of which, the 2026 model year Corvette Stingray averages 19 miles for every gallon of dinosaur juice, meaning 12.4 liters per 100 kilometers in metric-speaking places.
