Rivian is ramping up the number of invitations sent to reservation holders to configure and order an R2. However, the order in which invitations are sent is not clear, with some first-day reservation holders still waiting to get theirs, while some newer customers have already been invited to place their orders.
Rivian opened the R2 order books on June 9, as announced, based on invitations it sent to reservation holders. However, only a handful of reservation holders were invited to configure their SUVs during the first days. As the R2 production is picking up speed, Rivian has notified more reservation holders to place a firm order.
