Despite selling only in China for now, Xiaomi has promoted its sportiest models with Nurburgring records. However, the carmaker is trying something new with the YU7 GT, which became the first driverless car to complete a Nurburgring lap in 10:29.483 minutes. This is similar to what a good driver with no prior training on the Ring would get in a sports car.
    
Xiaomi impressed the world with an incredibly short development time for its first car ever, the SU7. This was immediately followed by an equally impressive production ramp-up, with the electric sedan quickly becoming the best seller in its segment. However, it doesn't seem to enjoy the same success with its second model, the YU7 crossover.
