A bright red prototype of the newly facelifted Porsche 911 GT3 has been captured high-speed testing at the Nurburgring Nordschleife. While development vehicles on the Green Hell are a daily occurrence during the summer months, the vehicle in these photos stands out due to its prominent ducktail rear spoiler.
Driven by Porsche ambassador Jorg Bergmeister, the completely undisguised sports car harks back to one of Zuffenhausen's most revered styling traits. The ducktail in question dates back to the legendary 911 Carrera RS 2.7 from the 1970s. More recently, the aerodynamic trickery in question has been reserved for limited-run heritage models.
