Volvo confirmed the cancellation of the EX30 for the U.S. market in mid-March, leaving the EX40 to play the part of its most affordable electric crossover. The EX40 isn't doing very well, either, as Volvo decided to discontinue it as well. In the meantime, Volvo has a replacement in development: the EX50.
Production of American-spec EX30 units officially stops over this summer, with remaining inventory expected to last in U.S. dealerships until the end of the year. The EX40 electric crossover is expected to follow suit. In the meantime, Volvo is already working on a replacement.
