The first electric M3 is continuing its march toward series production, and the latest prototype sighting offers the clearest indication yet that Munich's performance division is preparing something far more serious than a battery-electric vehicle full of M badges. Fresh spy pics reveal a Neue Klasse-based compact luxury sedan with reduced camo, exposing more aero trickery.
Heavily influenced by the BMW M Concept Neue Klasse, the zero-emission M3 shows a generous hood vent with a concept-like opening. Both functional and stylistic, the vent directs air upward to generate additional downforce over the front end. Also worth noting, this vent may otherwise serve cooling purposes.
