Just weeks after its official debut, the all-new 2027 Audi SQ9 has already been caught out on public roads. Audi’s first-ever full-size performance SUV packs a 591-hp twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8, launches to 60 mph in a claimed 3.8 seconds, and offers three rows of seating in a package that starts at around $118,000.

With deliveries not expected until the fourth quarter of 2026, any real-world sighting this early is pure gold for enthusiasts. The sportier S-model stands out with its aggressive styling, rear-biased quattro, staggered rubber, and commanding presence that finally gives Audi a proper rival to the BMW X7 M60i and Mercedes-AMG GLS 63.

One lucky spy recently captured this rare early example roaming free—no camo, no test plates, just pure SQ9 in the wild.
