Authorities in Edgewater, NJ say an insurance fraud investigation is underway following the weekend nor’easter that left a parking lot flooded.
Video taken Saturday shows that the River Road parking lot was inundated with water and several cars were submerged, but new video taken on Monday shows even more cars underwater that had shown up after the fact. The salvaged vehicles include a BMW 7 Series and a $130,000 Mercedes-Benz S580.
“These vehicles didn’t accidentally end up in this water,” Borough Administrator Greg Franz said.
