During a time when facelifts typically arrive with price hikes, Czech automaker Skoda has executed a counterintuitive pivot with the Slavia. Due at dealers from ?9,99,900 for the 1.0 TSI with the manual, which is approximately $10,330 today, Skoda's low-cost sedan undercuts the launch price of the original 2022 model from the latter part of 2021.
Through cabin tech and mechanical revisions that punch well above its price class, the Slavia is a great choice in the segment. Under the hood, the Czech automaker's Indian subsidiary focused on drivability. The workhorse 1.0-liter turbo I3 continues to churn out 114 horsepower, but ditches the older six-speed automatic for a segment-first box with eight forward ratios.
