How good of a discount can you get on the new E-class?

The spies tell you the current market and give you some tips on getting the best deal

So you’re wondering what a good deal on the new E-class is…

Our Spies within the MB dealers are telling us that the full MSRP pricing of E-classes is going away, now that more inventory is showing up, on dealership lots.

Expect to get $500-$2,500 off MSRP on your E-class deal, depending on the dealer.

Auto Spies perspective: The longer you wait on these cars, the lower the price will go. Unless you get at least $2,500 off MSRP, we suggest holding off on your purchase of an E-class. As inventory backs up this December and January, expect the dealers to get antsy and really start cutting margins on these cars, especially in the Southern California and other large markets across the country. Also, we predict MBUSA will institute a special discounted lease program (lower factors/higher residuals) by mid-January, 2003.

Tip: We’ve been told, if you talk to the fleet managers in these large dealerships, you can get $2500 off today and drive one home! Remember…RETAIL, IS FOR SUCKERS!
