MINI (officially) announced that all variants will adopt BMW’s Efficient Dynamics Tech goodies, first shown on the recently facelifted 1 & 5 Series. Thus meaning, from August 2007, all MINI versions will be equipped as standard with Brake Energy Regeneration, Auto Start-Stop Function and Switch Point Display systems (each explained after the jump).

Sounds Greek? Well, to put it simple, CO 2 emissions have been reduced by 7,2 -11,9% while consumption, between 6,5 and 12,8% (depending on the engine). Undoubtedly, the most impressive figures come from the MINI Cooper D (diesel) which is capable of returning a whopping 60,3 mpg or 3,9 lt/100 km (!) with CO 2 emissions of just 104 g/km -and as MINI playfully notes, “No batteries required"
