Spy report:

Look for a variant of the 100ex to make it to production within the next twenty-four months.

This will be a great car for speculators as the demand will far exceed the production.

In our opinion, it could be the most beautiful modern car of our lifetime.

The Rolls-Royce EX, an ultramodern, yet classically proportioned convertible, was designed to celebrate the 100th anniversary of this much-honored marque.

The exterior of this four-seat, two-door drophead highlights the interplay between large surfaces and fine detailing. It features the marque’s characteristic dynamic rise in waistline over the rear wheels and graceful lines that sweep up towards the front. A polished aluminum waste rail surrounds the passenger compartment, set off against dark curzon paintwork. Coach doors add to the elegant side profile.

At the front, a solid silver Spirit of Ecstasy sits atop a more progressive
version of the Rolls-Royce grill. The rear of the motorcar tapers into a boattail featuring a “countryman” boot; it is split to give a separate lower tailgate which, when down, provides a completely flat surface.

A tailored soft top made from a new advanced material, featuring woven wire strands, protects passengers from the elements. And the top can be concealed in an extremely small storage area, keeping intrusion into the luggage and passenger space to a minimum.

Bleached teak decking is used on both the exterior and interior.

Suspension and steering geometry are shared with the new Phantom and power is supplied by an experimental 9-liter V16, 64-valve naturally aspirated engine.
