I finally saw my first Smart car here in San Diego today.
I was doing the regular morning Starbucks run (as a Starbucks stockholder, it's my duty to keep the machine running) and I saw my first one in the supermarket parking lot (see pic).
In our world of political correctness and being green I have tried to be open minded and have sincerely tried to like this car.
You have NO idea how much I've tried.
But at the end of the day I just absolutely HATE the Smart car.
Deeply, deeply hate the Smart car.
If fact, I think they should rename it the STUPID car.
Why do I hate it, let me count the ways....
It is the ugliest piece of metal ever formed.
The mileage should be WAY better for the sacrifice you have to make by owning one.
Did I say it's the ugliest piece of metal (and lots of plastic) ever formed?
It's not a very good value.
It's tiny!
GOD forbid someone gets gas on road trip in that thing!
If I need an econobox, give me a Honda Civic manual or hybrid, a Scion Tc manual, Golf diesel, ANYTHING with SOME style.
Even a YARIS looks cooler!
So there you have it, I've finally got it off my chest.
The Smart car BLOWS!
I even have the ad tag line they should use to sell it...
If this is what we all have to look forward to in autos, you can have my license now!
