Auto Spies World Exclusive: More details on the upcoming 2004 Lexus LS430
Re-skinned and loaded
So we get this call from one of our readers who says he was in a Socal Lexus dealership and the GM SWEARS to him that there is no change coming for the 2004 LS.
Well this guy couldn't be more wrong.
Our question to him is: Were you sleeping off a hangover when they showed the photos of it at your dealer meeting in San Francisco, last November?
As reported back in December, the LS will be getting a significant re-skin, to make the car look more aggressive and modern.

In addition to what we reported the Spies have found a few more tid bits of what's in store...
Latest LS rumors:
It will have a 'back up camera' option ala the Q45
You will get more standard features for the same price or LESS.
Rear seat DVD entertainment system will be optional and cleverly designed
Horsepower will get a slight bump
New wheel styles will be available (THANK GOD!)
Power open and close trunk will be available
A better phone system option is coming
Front and rear heated/cooled/massage seats will be optional
A tiptronic style transmission may make it in to the design (one of the few things we didn't like in our 2001 LS was that there was no manumatic tranny like MB, BMW and Audi)
Electric side and rear power window shades will be available
