Latest info on BMW 7-series steptronic tranny and new phones Don't buy a 7 before you read this If you're in the market for a 2003 BMW 7-series MAKE SURE you don't take delivery of a vehicle that is a pre-January 15th or so, 2003 production model.Why?Because all the sevens that are being delivered to dealerships as we speak have the new steptronic transmission (you can upshift AND downshift now from the steering wheel), DVD navigation system and the updated Motorola phone.Don't let the dealer tell you that it won't matter for resale...a non-dual steptronic version will probably be worth $5K less in resale value.
