At AutoSpies.com, we are proud of a lot of the things that we’ve accomplished over the past few years but something that is especially close to my heart, is how we raised the bar on automotive site aesthetics and design.
So you can imagine how excited I am to unveil the newly redesigned AutoSpies.com version 3.0!
What’s new in version 3.0?
1. The most beautiful site design gets even more drop dead gorgeous, thanks to the best designers on the web, Chip Grueter, John Keema and Myles McGuinness.
2. We will now be publishing news/photos/info on the fly, as the news breaks, instead of weekly.
3. (Coming soon!) You, the reader, will be able to have AutoSpies.com photos delivered DIRECTLY to your desktop the moment they publish via our exclusive relationship with Filmloop source: (www.filmloop.com). It’s just like having a live photo ticker on your desktop to view and share photos. Filmloop will do for pictures what blogging did for text.
4. Free classifieds (limited time only).

Q&A
Q. Will I still get my weekly AutoSpies.com newsletter?
A. Yes, you will still get your newsletter every Thursday but it will no longer be the launch of the news. It will be a recap of all the articles we published over the last week, so we advise checking our site frequently, so you don’t miss any breaking news. So, you’ll never miss a beat!
Q. Where do I find the rest of the articles not on the homepage?
A. To see all the latest articles click on the 'More News Articles >>' link below the breaking news stories to see them all. To see just the articles from the latest newsletter, click on the 'NEWSLETTER' text at the top of the homepage or click on the 'MORE' icon at the bottom left corner of the homepage under the list of latest newsletter articles.
Q. When can I get the Filmloop player so I can start using the live photo ticker?
A. The software should be available within the next ten days. Go to www.filmloop.com and sign up on the software waiting list. You will be notified as soon as it is available for download
Q. When can I start using the free classifieds?
A. The free classifieds (limited time only) are available for listings now. List your car where the MOST luxury and sports car buyer’s are.

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE:
AutoSpies.com™ launches next generation design now with daily breaking news reports and direct to desktop photo broadcasting
Leading online automotive news service unveils groundbreaking technology, expands editorial and user-generated content
For Immediate Release
San Diego, Sept. 22, 2005 – AutoSpies.com™, the Internet’s leading insider guide to the world’s finest automobiles and luxury lifestyle, announces AutoSpies.com™ 3.0, a major redesign and update to the popular news service that receives millions of visits a month.
Founded by Donald Buffamanti former SVP of MP3.com and former Technical advisor to the President of Apple Computer, Canada and Greg Flores, co-founder of MP3.com, the two spy chiefs have built a network of thousands of industry employees, analysts, dealers and car fanatics who routinely leak information—spy photos, next generation product plans, unpublished rebates, and performance failures—to their news service. According to Buffamanti, “The information that affects buying decisions in this current marketplace is fluid and can change daily. Through exclusive editorial content and up-to-the minute blog commentary, AutoSpies.com™ provides consumer’s insider knowledge that helps level the playing field with dealers and private sellers. Armed with this up to date information, buyer’s can make better choices and negotiate the best price possible.”
In 3 years, AutoSpies.com™ has grown from a bimonthly to a daily news service with an active blog audience of tens of thousands of car enthusiasts who keep the information fresh and opinions flying on a minute-to-minute basis. Buffamanti describes the average blog contributor as an owner or fanatic of one of the top luxury brands of cars and their commentary, “more educated, emotional and opinionated than the staunchest political blog commentator”. The amazing thing about the news service is the sheer size of the data available and that over 50% of this information is user generated. The site, according to Buffamanti “is like a perpetual live industry focus group.”
The AutoSpies.com™ phenomena has been covered by automotive analysts and reporters at the Wall St. Journal, Fox News, CNN, USA Today, Variety, DUB magazine and is one of the highest ranked auto information sites on Google, Yahoo, MSN and other major search engines.
In addition to thousands of pages of automotive news, auto show photo galleries, classifieds, car and dealer reviews from AutoSpies.com™ sister site Dealerrater.com™, AutoSpies.com can now deliver their photos directly to users’ desktops via an exclusive relationship with FilmLoop™. Consumers who install the Filmloop player on their desktops get photos delivered directly into a moving photo ticker the second they are posted on the AutoSpies.com™ website. Because of the six month exclusive deal with AutoSpies.com™, no other commercial automotive website has this capability. "We cherry picked Auto Spies™ as our exclusive provider of car content because I was already visiting its site all the time. No other site has the inside scoop and spy photos like Auto Spies, so it was a natural." said Guy Kawasaki, Filmloop™ board member and Former Apple Fellow.
Advertisers have flocked to the news service, because, unlike print publications, AutoSpies.com™ users have an active, often daily interaction with the news, reviews, and ongoing blog debates. And because of the affluent demographic the site attracts and their innovative ad products, companies like Mercedes-Benz USA, Land Rover, Audi USA, Four Seasons Hotels, Bell & Ross, Lexus USA are just some of the usual suspects that place their ads on AutoSpies.com.
