There are reports saying that BMW will be joining forces with Bath University of the UK to come up with a new family of environmentally-friendly two-, three- and four-wheeled city vehicles. Because of this there are some speculations that suggest a revival of the 50 year old Isetta badge, to provide the inspiration for the four-wheeled diminutive.

The tiny BMW, which is perfect for busy urban streets, will come with rear-mounted powerplant and rear-wheel drive for a harmony of power and handling. Because of its small footprint, the microcar will find no problem with parking. The interior will be designed in a similar fashion to the Toyota iQ and will accommodate three adults and a seat behind the driver when required. BMW sources have pointed out that in spite of the cars dated heritage the new Isetta will be quite the car of the future.
