Yesterday we received an email from the good folks over at Popular Mechanics, pointing us to a Mercedes story they ran that we somehow
managed to overlook.

In the October Issue of Popular Mechanics' 2006 Cars and Trucks of the Year awards, the Mercedes-Benz CLS was named the winner in the
magazine's "Design" category. And can we blame them? After all, it is the car that graces every page of our website.

So why did they choose the CLS? "To us, it's a rolling metal sculpture of a racing greyhound or a thoroughbred. The long wheelbase mimics legs stretched out front and rear, the nose low, straining for the finish line... this car screams forward motion and will always
rate a parking valet's favored spot."

I would have to say that is an excellent analogy of everyone's favorite four-door coupe. The CLS is, in my opinion, simply gorgeous.
