AUDI OF AMERICA REPORTS NOVEMBER SALES UP 15%
With its third record month in a row, Audi of America, Inc. is reporting its November 2005 sales, the best November result achieved in the company’s history. Sales of 7,909 units are up 15 % over November 2004. Strongest performer was again the new Audi A4. The A4 and S4 model line in November sold 5,067 units (+ 33.6 %) and now shows 43,417 units sold year-to-date. The A6 model line now shows 16,307 units sold year-to-date and is up year over year by 21.7 %.
"We are clearly very pleased that we have been able perform so well in a declining market," says Executive Vice President of Audi of America, Johan de Nysschen. „both our A4 and A6 line have been selling so strongly in recent months, that we are experiencing availability shortage in some areas. We have secured additional production, so customers will not have to wait much longer."
This past year has focused on celebrating 25 years of quattro®, Audi’s famous all-wheel drive system. „Our entire marketing campaign has highlighted this unique anniversary, and customers are strongly reacting to that“, says de Nysschen. The Audi A6 and A8 models are only available in with quattro all-wheel-drive; the A4 and A3 models are also available in FrontTrak front-wheel-drive.
„The pinnacle of our quattro success could be seen at this year’s Frankfurt Auto Show, where Audi unveiled the latest product proudly carrying the quattro badge, the all new performance SUV Audi Q7 quattro, coming to the US in summer of next year," says de Nysschen.
