Two four-cylinder engines will be added to the Mercedes-Benz E-class range. The first, the E200 CDI, is powered by a 2.1-liter diesel engine while the E200 CGI will have the 1.8-liter petrol engine. Sold under Mercedes’ BlueEfficiency eco-friendly badge, both models will be added to the new E-class range in September.
The diesel unit produces 134bhp and 265lb ft of torque and takes 10.2sec to get from 0-62mph. Top speed is 130mph. Combined fuel consumption is said to be up to 51.3 mpg, and CO2 emissions are expected to be between 137g/km and 145g/km.
