Along with the now daily exterior spy photos of the 2011 BMW 5 Series, we finally have the chance to take a glance and the interior design in the new 5. Past rumors mentioned that the new 5 Series will inherit many interior design cues from the 7 Series and the recently launched 5 Series GT.
High quality materials and trim, black gauges and plenty of new gadgets, are taking the next 5 Series interior design a few notches up the scale.
Even though the interior is partially covered, some things stand out. A new gear shifter for the automatic transmission can be seen. Since we’re looking at the high-end 5er here, 550i, we expect to feature the eight-speed automatic DCT transmission.
