Probably fighting with the 2011 BMW 5-series for the most anticipated unveil within the past 12 months, today Apple finally took the wraps off of the iPad. No, not the iSlate or the iPhone XXL. And after today's introduction and press conference it looks like this may be another Apple hit. Time will tell.

Although we know it will be able to surf the web, do some word processing and read iBooks, there was one thing that seems to of been overlooked by much of the press; automotive gaming.

As you can see in the shots below -- thanks to our friends at Engadget -- the one feature that was talked about was Electronic Arts' Need For Speed Shift.

The new iPad will definitely make for a different gaming experience as the touch controls are on the screen.

Although Need For Speed Shift has already been released in the iPhone, do you think that this is only the beginning for a flurry of new video games featuring different kinds of interaction with users? Think of it changing the video game landscape like Nintendo's Wii.
