Gumball founder, Maximillion Cooper, has put up his ultra-rare Jaguar XJ220S on the market. And, do not get it twisted, this XJ220S is not your standard pouncing cat.
The 220S was built by Tom Walkinshaw Racing, a.k.a. TWR, and boasts a 600 plus horsepower motor. Largely built out of carbon fiber, the only pieces which are aluminum are its doors. All-in-all this means it weighs 400 pounds less than the standard 220.
Supposedly only six were made but other sources have pegged the number at five. Either way, it is under 10. To acquire a new one it would amount up to approximately £600,000.
GTspirit reports:
"...It’s 650 bhp strong engine has only rolled 11,000 miles (17,600 km) and the car was always properly looked after by Don Law, a Jaguar’s XJ220 specialist in the United Kingdom. It’s no surprise that keeping this baby in running and in good shape will cost quite a bit, that’s also reflecting in the current list price of £ 165,000 (€ 188.000 – $ 254.000)..."
