001 and I hit up the greatest city on the planet for a first look at Volkswagen's all-new Touareg Hybrid. You know what that means.

At tonight's Volkswagen party, not only was Walter de'Silva, the man in charge for all of Volkswagen Group's design present, but Kelly Bensimon from The Real Housewives of New York and singer/actress Adrienne Bailon, were there to drop jaws.

Oh yeah, and the Touareg Hybrid was there in all its glory.

It looks like a very impressive piece of kit and if you were one of the believers that the car looked smaller, I reassure you, it is definitely a bit bigger. But, as pointed out in conversation with John Voelcker from High Gear Media, the car has been lowered a tad for better aerodynamics.

The interior is a step in the premium direction with materials looking more upscale and in a cleaner package. No longer does the interior look like a messy array of buttons.

We now know it looks great in the flesh but how does it drive?
