Some of Toyota’s recall troubles stem from failing to adequately teach customers about the car’s performance features at the dealership, according to Steve St. Angelo, Toyota’s chief quality officer for North America.

St. Angelo, who was tasked to lead actions to fix Toyota’s quality image in the US, believes that there are some Toyota owners who misunderstand what their cars can do. In an interview with Automotive News, St. Angelo said that the company realizes that it hasn’t done a good job of educating its customers about the cars.
