With the progress that Jaguar has been getting for its efforts to develop hybrid drive systems, it is likely that within three years, the carmaker would be offering hybrid variants of its XF and XJ sedans.

Jaguar has been working on projects, such as the Limo-Green joint effort with Lotus Engineering. If reports are to be believed, Jaguar’s hybrid variants will hit the roads by 2013-2014. It has yet to be confirmed if the XJ will be offered as a diesel-electric or gasoline-electric in the US.
