With a 623.76 mile run on a single charge, the Daihatsu Mira EV broke its own world record for the longest EV trip without recharging. This EV is powered by Sanyo lithium-ion batteries and has been converted from gas to electric by the Japan EV Club.

The EV set a record last November when it took a 345-mile journey from Tokyo to Osaka. This record was doubled over the weekend at a track in Ibaraki, Japan.
