Usually, auto manufacturers tend to debut new technology in racing then it works its way into road cars. But Audi is doing things a little different. Backwards, to be precise.

Helping aid their drivers in this year's LeMans, Audi is bringing road technology used on its R8 supercar -- in form of its LED headlights -- to brighten racer's path...

The new Audi R15 Plus that will be competing for Audi’s ninth Le Mans 24-hour victory will boast an unexpected edition from the company’s road car range. Helping out drivers during their night stints will be the standard LED headlights from the Audi R8, to provide more efficient lighting than the R15’s standard lighting alone.
 
Other tweaks compared to last year’s car include more complex aerodynamics than before (aiding top speed) and a more ergonomic cockpit for the drivers to work in...
