When you think about the most modified vehicle, which comes to mind? To me there is one car that has to have the largest aftermarket following:

The Ford Mustang.

And usually none of them are done tastefully, until now that is.

A Formula D driver, Vaughn Gittin Jr., had something to do with the end result we see here. And these are some pretty nice modifications, if you have approximately $8 large to put into your 'Stang.

Taking it from the top, you get an extra 9-horsepower, the car is lowered 1.5 inches, new 19-inch wheels and Falken tires, cross-drilled and slotted rotors, and new front and rear spoilers.

All and all it looks pretty damn good and for $8,000 buckaroos it isn't that badly priced.

We raise our glass to you, Vaughn. Well done.

Looking for just a little something extra to jazz up the 2011 Ford Mustang GT? Ford has an answer--a dealer-installed package named RTR that upgrades the suspension, adds bigger wheels and sorta subtle exterior stripes.

Ford says the RTR had the input of drifting race star Vaughn Gittin Jr. The package is launching now for the new Mustang GT. A version for the V6-power Mustang is due to arrive late this year...
