US dealerships will receive the 2011 Ford Fiesta subcompact 10 days to two weeks later than expected due to the damage on railroad lines caused by Hurricane Alex on June 30 and by Tropical Storm Bonnie.
Ford Motor Co.’s shipments were delayed as there was severe damage on the key railroads in northern Mexico. You can view the extent of the storm damage on Ford’s Fiesta page on Facebook. Angie Kozleski, a Ford spokeswoman, said that Ford ships a “significant amount of vehicles via railroad” but that it still continues to ship.
