While some have forecasted upwards of nearly 600-horsepower, we cannot be entirely sure. If you do not recall, reports were estimating the E9x M3 would feature a 450-horsepower PLUS motor. Yeah, didn't happen.
So, when Mercedes-Benz unwrapped its new 5.5L, forced-induction V8 producing 537-horsepower and over 660 lb-ft of torque, you know the gurus at M GmbH have to have something up their sleeve to battle this.
