Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) has strengthened its public relations team to include an expanded corporate communications function.

This commitment to fully serve the press relations needs of the German luxury sports-car company in North America was emphasized with the hiring of Tony Fouladpour, who recently took on the role of manager of corporate communications at PCNA.

Fouladpour, who will report to PCNA's top PR veteran, General Manager of PR, Bernhard (Bernd) Harling, is joined by Heidi Weber, senior specialist, corporate communications, who also is a recent addition to the team. Together they will focus on serving and reaching out to the business and lifestyle media, designing and implementing public relations projects and attending to all matters of internal communications.

Before joining Porsche, Fouladpour served in varied PR positions with Volkswagen of America, Inc. since 1990 and was most recently PR manager for Volkswagen's U.S. automotive operations.

"By bolstering our Public Relations Department, we are determined to be even more responsive to the press in North America in all respects, from automotive to business and lifestyle press," said Harling. "Improving the quality and depth of our ability to communicate with and serve the media in North America is an ongoing priority at Porsche."

PCNA's PR team includes a strong and well-established product group that is managed by Bob Carlson. The Porsche PR team in North America also includes Gary Fong, press fleet management, Timo Resch, leader in product coordination and media relations, and Paul Seredynski, leader in automotive media relations. Robin Baker, public relations assistant, helps round out the entire PR team.
